Games for Kids You Can Play in 15 Minutes

It’s my belief that a parent can never have too many quick activities to do with their kids. I’m always on the hunt for games that have fast play times for the days that either my to-do list is too long, bed time too close, or attention spans are too short.

Any one of these below games are what I happily reach for! They are fun and engaging for kids and parents while only taking about 15 minutes or less to play. A win for everyone!

Honeycomb

Honeycomb has three unique ways to play, and is great if you’re looking for a competitive or cooperative experience! Make as many matches as you can by playing and connecting honeycomb tiles. Fast, fun, and great for the outdoors too!

Difference Junior

One of my favorites to bring out at a restaurant! Players will try to be the first to find the difference between their card and the card in the center. Great for kids who love Highlights seek and find books.

Piece of Pie

A quick game with simple math. Players will draft pie tiles to build a personal pie that meets the recipe cards to earn the most points. Fun for players as young as 5!

Off to Bed

The perfect bedtime game for toddlers. Help the animals get settled down for bed in this memory and matching game.

Strike

Strike is way more fun than it should be! Toss dice into the area to strike other dice and make matches in this push you luck game. Games are fast, but don’t blame me when you have so much fun you play well past 15 minutes.

Mickey’s Food Fight

Quickly roll dice to pass food off of your plate and onto the plates of others. It’s a fun, Mickey themed take on LRC that is always a hoot. There’s also a Harry Potter themed version if causing mischief in Dragon Alley is more your style.

Spot It

Spot It is a must! Another perfect game to add to your bag for outings. There are tons of variations and themes. We love the classic game, this one for younger kids, and the new Marvel Spot it!

Sequence Kids

Sequence Kids is an adorable, animal themed version of the classic Sequence game. This is one our kids reach for a lot!

Blockness

We love this quick abstract game! Each turn you’ll add a piece to your sea monster following placement restrictions. You have to be strategic about where you place each piece or else you might find yourself unable to move in your turn. The last player able to move their sea monster is the winner.

Gobblet / Gobblet Gobblers

Our family loves this abstract game so much it hardly ever gets put away! It’s the perfect, strategic tic tac toe game. We have and love both versions. Gobblet is great for older kids, and Gobblet Gobblers is a smaller version for younger. But kids of any age can play and enjoy both so you can’t go wrong.

Turtle Mania

Add turtles onto a crowded platform, trying to not push any off into the water. This is one our 3, 5, and 7 year old kids especially enjoy!
