Two Player Board Games to Gift in 2024

Lord of the Rings: Duel for Middle Earth

My favorite two player game of the year! I love this gift not just for a Lord of the Rings fan, but for anyone who loves a strategic two player game.

King of Tokyo Duel

A fun new twist on the classic King of Tokyo. Sometimes you just want to roll dice and attack each other, ya know?! This has also been a hit with our tweens and teens!

Flip Circus

The perfect game for the traveling duos in your life. The whole game stores in a pull-string bag and is easily added to any purse or luggage!

Patterns

An area control game where you’ll take turns swapping tiles from the center. If you can mark out the most territory for yourself, you win! I love the tea towel board you play on which adds a fun feel to the whole experience.

Splendor Duel

Perfect for any fans of Splendor, Splendor Duel is, in my humble opinion, Splendor at its best!

Sky Team

Work together to land an airplane safely. We love how this game works like a simulation and comes with different modules to up the difficulty once you’ve earned your wings.

Crokinole

Our crokinole board is without a doubt my favorite board game purchase. We love that this gives us all the fun of a bar-like pool room without the need for the space. When we aren’t playing it together or holding tournaments, it’s displayed on our wall as art!

Lost Cities

One of the classic two player games we think everyone should have. I could play this ever day and never get sick of it.

Air Land and Sea

All the fun of a war game packed into a small card game. It’s perfect for travel and a great gift for your war history buffs.

Wooden Games from Gigamic

We absolutely love these wooden games. They’re perfect grab for a quick game and then to display on a shelf or coffee table in-between plays. There are many in the series and they are all excellent.

Quoridor (If you can’t decide, go with this one!)
Qawale (If you love mancala, this one is for you. Plus the pieces look like hamburgers when stacked!)
Quarto (The most strategic of the bunch!)

Knucklebones Dice Set

I’m in love with both this game and the overall game set. We found were recommended this game by someone who was following along with our dice series. Once we gave the game a try (you can play it right now with our FREE downloadable sheet!) we were hooked!

Boop the Halls

This game will break your adorable meter for sure! Boop the Halls takes the fan favorite two player game Boop and adds a healthy dose of Christmas Spirit! Now you have a chance to be a Naughty Kitty and boop your opponents ornaments right off the four tiered game board (aka tree) to win! Or line up three cats if you want to be Nice.

Don’t want a holiday themed version of the game? Get the original!

Star Wars the Deck Building Game (Original and The Clone Wars)

The perfect deck builder for both new and experienced players! You can start with either of the two games; when you have both, you can mix and match the heroes and villains from each game for a new challenge!

Tokaido Duel

My favorite game in the Tokaido series! I love how chill it is while still having tons of choices and strategies to think through.

Lacuna

A calm and quick game for all. Lacuna is a great gift for those who are short on time but still want to play a fun game over their morning coffee or before bed.

Caper: Europe

This is in our carts for a little gift under the tree! Compete to assemble the best heist crew — you’ll draft crew and send them out on missions hoping to be the ultimate mastermind. Sign me up!

Sail

As huge fans of trick-taking-games, we’re adding this to our carts! Sail is a cooperative game where you’ll work together to sail your ship through the sea and avoid the Kraken.
