Board Game Gift Guide for Families 2023
Board games that fall into the family category are without a doubt my favorite! These games combine a wonderful mixture of strategy, theme, and shorter playtimes. Family games are great for any player, young or old, beginning around ages 8-10 and up!
Just because a game is on this list, doesn’t mean it’s only for families with kids! These are for everyone!

Endlessly charming! I loved the switch game and had to give this a go and it did not disappoint! Chill, cooperative, and designed with a campaign you play through that acts as a tutorial of sorts to help you learn the game. 10/10

Really enjoy the tactical aspect to this game as everyone works to manipulate the fire to burn each others towers down. Even if someone takes out your tower, you can still win! Really fun!

If you’re wanting to a game that scales up to 8 well, there’s no better one to get than Challengers! Excellent for families with more strategy to it than you first think!

I can’t resist a good Phil Walker Harding game and SpellBook didn’t disappoint! This game has such a great sense of progression and with so many unique spell abilities, each game feels unique!

This one gets my heart rate pumping! You have 10 minutes to work together to disarm a bomb. It’s filled with all the dice rolling, adrenaline rushing, cooperative goodness real time games can have!

If you love a quieter, more thoughtful party game for a smaller gathering, The Number is perfect! It’s the type of game that the strategy behind it sneaks up on you and surprises you midway through the game so you can’t wait to play it again!

Long Shot might be my favorite betting game! We have had SO MUCH fun playing this together as a family and with out extended family!
