What You Need to Know About the Board Game Summer Camp Program
Here’s what to expect from Summer Camp this year!
Our hope with this virtual Board Game Summer Camp is that we can help you and your family make the most of this summer. In order to do so though, it’s best to have some sort of a plan or outline for what you’d like to accomplish. We hope that by using the Merit Badge poster and following along with each week’s theme, we an help make your summer a little bit easier and more fun.
Camp Begins June 3rd. Here’s what to expect.
Is it free?
Yes! This is entirely free! The program will take part through our blog and social media channels so you can follow along from home as much or as little as you wish.
Is this for kids or adults?
Both! The program is designed for all board game lovers!
We’ll be discussing a wide variety of games and themes that will be applicable to board gamers with kids and without.
What are we going to do?
Each week we’ll send out an email highlighting the theme of the week. You can expect to find new game recommendations, tips and tricks, and hopefully encouragement to get the most out of your summer as a family.
We’ve created a printable poster with different merit badges you can earn! During the summer, you’ll be able to color them in as you earn them. While you can complete the badges in any order you like (and we encourage you to do so!) in each email we’ll be sharing a few badges that apply to the theme that you’ll be able to mark off as you go.
Here’s a look at some of the badges and make sure you sign up for our email list below! (we’ll send the merit badge poster right to you!)
I’m new to board games, is this a good fit for me?
Absolutely! A large part of the summer camp is designed to help introduce you to games or types of games that you maybe haven’t played before. We hope that it will be as educational as it is fun!
I don’t have a lot of board games, can I still participate?
Of course! Much of the Summer Camp programming can be accomplished with the games you already have on your shelf.
I’m an experienced board gamer, is this a good fit for me?
I think so! The goal of summer camp is to help you and your family play more games and connect together. There will be lots of different challenges that will encourage you to play games from your collection that you maybe haven’t gotten to the table recently, and ways to make sure you and your family enjoy summer in new ways!
