Strategy games are the perfect choice for nights you really want to buckle down and get your brain working. These games are some of our absolute favorites and the perfect next step up from the family game category. Often, though not always, these games can take upward of an hour, making them a better choice for adults, teens, and tweens with longer attention spans. 

We review the board game Everdell! Gather resources to develop a harmonious village in the whimsical and magical world of Everdell. From my first play, I just couldn’t get enough of the beautiful world building found in this board game. Even better still, Everdell provides a highly replayable, satisfying game experience that keeps us coming back.

It’s time to seize the day! We’re taking a look at Carpe Diem from designer Stefan Feld! 

This new versions takes the original game and gives it a fresh coat of paint with new art and a streamlined design while still offering the original tile placement, point generating goodness found in the original. 

We’re diving deep into The Castles of Tuscany! This is a lovely and accessible strategy game from designer Stefan Feld.
