If you love a game with a little more meat on its bones, that will challenge you mentally, and that won’t eat up your whole evening, you’re definitely going to want to check out this game!
It’s no secret that I’m a fan of card games! So when I was asked if I wanted to review the upcoming game Cover Your Kingdom.
Cover Your Kingdoms is from Grandpa Beck’s Games! The makers of Skull King, The Bears and the Bees, and Cover Your Assets! So I knew it had to be good.
In our house we have a son that is obsessed with dinosaurs.
I mean, obsessed to the point where he will talk to you endlessly about how the Spinosaurus is bigger than the Tyrannosaurus even though everyone thinks the T-Rex is the biggest carnivore and that the Ankylosaurus while smaller than both could have probably survived an attack from either of these “top predators” because of it’s body armor.
He’s 4.
He can’t say “Spaghetti” but don’t worry, he can rattle off the name of a pachycephalosaur like it’s nothing.
So we knew when we saw SOS Dino that he’d be all about it.
Sometimes it can be hard to find a decent game for kids in that 5 year age range.
They’re too young to play some of the bigger games for kids 8 and up, yet too old to want to play the younger, more toddler geared games.
Luckily there are games out there like Farmini that hits the sweet spot for kids ages 5 and up!
Memory games are a great brain boosting activity for growing minds that will help build your child’s concentration.
Those growing brains are working hard and providing a stimulating game to challenge them in fun ways will keep them engaged while exercising their mind in important ways. Preschoolers and school aged children alike have so many areas of their lives that require a good memory, whether its following rules in the house or needing to remember math, science, or history information for school, helping children develop good memory skills early will help enormously as they grow and learn throughout every stage.
Not only that, but it’s another screen-free tool in your parenting tool belt that you can pull out when you need to help your kids fight boredom!
The important thing to remember is to play a game that your kid finds enjoyable, (and hey, if you can enjoy it too, then that’s a double bonus!) Kids learn better when having fun, so here are three unique games that use memory mechanics in fun ways that will have everyone wanting to play them again and again!
Hey there! Thanks for being here! We’re Adam and Kelsey and we, along with our seven kids, love to play board games! Here you’ll find all our top game recommendations so you and your family can play only the best games together!
