Best Spring Themed Board Games to Play This Spring

We’re sharing our favorite board games to play for Spring. Updated for 2025!

Spring themed games are some of my favorites, be it the flowers or the adorable critters, there’s just something about them that makes me happy.

If you are looking for to add more beautiful games to your shelves, these are a great place to start!

Let us know on Instagram which games sound the most fun to you!

Flower Fields

The puzzle gameplay sees you drafting and placing tiles to create a beautiful garden. Easy to learn and great for families, it feels like Patchwork for up to four players!

A Gentle Rain

One of my favorite solitaire games. It’s the perfect choice when you want to zone out and give yourself a little reset. I also like to put on a little audiobook while playing!

Harvest Trilogy

This is a three game set of solitaire card games. They’re easy, puzzly, and highly addictive! (you’ve been warned!) Each game is also available separately. I love them all, but since I know you’re wondering, if I could only get one, I’d grab Orchard or Grove.

Pixies

The cutest art in all the land! This card game comes in the perfect, travel friendly box, but packs a fun strategy punch inside! It’s the type of game that’s easy to learn, but keeps you coming back again and again because each combination of cards you get feels like a new puzzle to solve.

Gartenbau

This tile placement, pattern building game is absolutely stunning on the table. I absolutely love the art. You’ll play as a gardener trying to grow a mature garden full of flowers before the growing season ends.

Wingspan

Let the chorus of birds welcome Spring both outdoors and on your table. Wingspan is a wonderful engine building game where you’ll draft birds to build powerful combinations. This is a great, easy to learn option if you are looking for a way to ease into more difficult strategy games.

Meadow

The watercolor illustrations on the cards in this game are truly something to behold. This is a lovely nature game where you’ll draft cards from the central board, play them into your meadow, and achieve goals to earn the most points.

Botanicus

Become an aristocrat trying to create a beautiful garden that will impress your visitors. I want to live this life, but until then, I’ll practice by playing Botanicus! 😉 This is a medium weight strategy game that combines a bit of economic, set collection, and puzzly strategy.

Planted

One of my favorite games from last year! Planted is a drafting game all about filling your home with beautiful houseplants. The game comes standard with deluxe components, is easy to learn and teach, and plays incredibly smoothly.

Cascadia

In Cascadia you’ll build out your terrain area and populate it with wildlife. This is a great, entry weight game that is full of all the drafting, tile laying, puzzly goodness.

Cascadia Junior

If you’ve got some younger gamers, Cascadia Junior teaches all the basics of Cascadia in a fun, kid friendly way that parents will love playing too! It earned our Tabletop Family Top Choice Seal!

Verdant

Another game for all houseplant enthusiasts! Verdant is a puzzly game where you’ll try to position your plants in the rooms with the most suitable light conditions for their growth. The better you do this, the happier your plants will be. And while you’re doing that, you’ll also be decorating each room — all to create the coziest space.

The Bears and the Bees

Yes, even after years of playing this game, the title still trips me up thinking its about something else. But fear NOT! The Bears and the Bees is a family friendly pattern building game where you’re working to eliminate your hand of the hexagon cards by playing them into the ever growing hive by matching colored sides.

Everdell

Everdell is one of those games you just want to live inside. The world is so adorable, brought to life with beautiful art. Everdell has a variety of mechanisms to enjoy such as worker placement, tableau building, drafting, and more! This is another great option for players looking to try more challenging game experiences without being too overwhelmed.

For a quicker game that’s a little lighter on the strategy but still highly interesting, try My Lil’ Everdell — it’s like an express version and has a GREAT solo variant, too!

One of my favorite quick card games. Floriferous is a simple drafting and set collection game all about collecting flowers from your garden. The art on each card is absolutely stunning.

Trails

Hit the trails at home and outside! Trails is a fun, quick game that condenses many of the full Parks board game experience, into a tighter, 20 minute experience. It’s great for travel!

Miyabi

Perhaps a trip to a zen garden is what you’re after. I love the puzzly nature of this game as you carefully plan your garden, stacking tiles up on multiple levels to earn the most points! It also comes with some expansions to challenge you even further! Miyabi is one of the more underrated family games from HABA!
